What are the 4 main types of team building activities 

Team building activities are utilized by companies and businesses around the world, regardless of their size, as they can be tailored to the specific needs and requirements of each.

Team building activities choose to incorporate team building activities within their operations from giant companies to very small businesses, with a small number of employees, in order to best promote teamwork in the professional environment and thus reap the multiple benefits.

There are four main types of such activities and they concern the following:

– communication activities

– Problem-solving and decision-making activities

– Adaptation and planning activities

– Trust-building activities

Team building activities are mainly carried out in the work environment but also outdoors. They can be short and frequent or longer and less frequent, and include question and answer sessions, cooperative ‘games’ and team competition with individual challenges.

Each of the types of team building activities can target specific skills of the participants, enhance their abilities, boost morale and strengthen relationships between them, promoting smooth cooperation, developing strong bonds and of course improving communication between team members and their respective managers.
